How these trousers fit
Please order one size larger than you usually wear. The Ophelia is wide and fluid through the leg but cut small through the waist and hip, so it runs smaller than our other pieces. Silk should never be worn tight — it needs room to drape and move, and a little ease is what gives the fabric its fall. See the size guide for full body measurements.
Not your size? Made to measure
These trousers are cut in UK 8–14 — but our atelier will make them from a UK 6 to a UK 18, to your own measurements, for £50 more. Ready in the same 3–4 weeks.
Ophelia is wide through the leg but cut small at the waist and hip, which is why we usually suggest sizing up. Made to measure, we cut the waist to your actual waist and set the length to your height — which is what makes wide-leg trousers hang properly rather than pool at the floor.
Black Noir is a true, depthless black — the most versatile note in the Ophelia collection. Woven as a jacquard, a tonal floral damask moves through the cloth, so the black is never flat: it shifts between matte and sheen as the light and the fabric move.
Few pieces deliver the quiet drama of a true palazzo trouser, and the Ophelia is cut to make the most of it. An 80% silk, 20% viscose jacquard gives the wide leg its weight and fall, so the fabric moves in a long, clean column rather than billowing. A sweeping front overlay panel falls cleanly down each leg, lifting and floating with every step so the silhouette gains a quiet sense of movement, while an elasticated back waistband allows genuine, all-day comfort beneath a smooth, tailored front.
Crafted in Vietnam, the damask jacquard carries a subtle woven texture that shifts gently as the light changes. Worn high and flowing, the Ophelia trouser lengthens the silhouette and lends an unmistakable sense of ease. As the collection's foundation piece, it partners every Ophelia shell top — and mixes effortlessly beyond.

They have a zip at the front and have an elasticated waist at the back. I am a 6-8 and I think they run a little snugger round the waist to give a cinch. If in doubt size up.
Obviously an investment piece at the price but I there is value to knowing the supply chain and the quality of the material, as well as the exemplary communication, packaging and customer seevice.
